The Free Lunch Program at the Florence United Methodist Church was established in 1991. Since then, the church has been offering a free lunch every Tuesday and Thursday to anyone who wants to join.
The Free Lunch Program is a part of the Methodist Church, and we receive assistance from various faith groups who volunteer to cook and serve one day each month. We are very grateful for their help. The menu typically includes two soups (one vegetarian and one meat soup, both prepared on-site), bread, fruit, dessert, milk, juice, and coffee.
While most of the people we serve are in need, everyone is welcome. Some individuals come not only for the food but also for the companionship. We see people of all ages, from seniors to families with young children.
You are welcome to join us for lunch with our guests any Tuesday or Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You can also drop off a donation. You can also securely donate online with Vanco, the church's trusted ministry partner, or mail a donation to: Free Lunch Program of Florence UMC, 333 Kingwood Street, Florence, OR 97439.
